Banking, Business and PR
Tony Friend (FCA) brings immense commercial and financial experience to Oxford House. Of late, his focus has been PR and reputation management. Beginning in banking (international debt, capital markets and cross border finance), Tony qualified as a Chartered Accountant (and with the Chartered Institute of Taxation). He then moved to equity capital markets (advising on IPO’s, secondary funding, M&A and restructuring) and was one of the first bankers moving to PR (shaping client profiles and investor relations strategy). After working for an agency sold to Interpublic, he was part of the leadership team that grew a business from 40 to 450 (in 13 countries) which they sold to private equity. Over the years, Tony’s international client list has included FTSE 100s, and small, mid cap and unlisted companies (incl. in CEE, Russia, FSU, and South Africa). He continues to have a portfolio of senior advisory positions. An avid sportsman, he is on the MCC Tennis and Squash sub-committee and Dedanist Society Committee.
